Hi there,
I’m a student-teacher from UTS in Sydney. I was randomly searching student-teachers and I came across your lovely website.
It just so happens my next prac which begins this Tuesday is for a Year 5 class as well. Usually I get very excited and look forward to getting into the classroom. This is my 5th prac and for some reason I am feeling very nervous about teaching this time round (hence, the random search to see what I could dig up! =D)
Care to share some tips that you may have recently picked up from having your own student-teacher in the class?
Regards,
Yumi Kwon
Thanks for your comment! I hope your practicum is going well. Year 5 kids are great! They’re old enough to work independently on lots of fun projects, but still young enough to not have TOO much attitude! My last student teacher was fortunate (or unfortunate – you decide) enough to be in my class in the last few weeks before our standardized testing, so she didn’t really get an opportunity to try out some of the cool things she’d learned in her training. However, she did get a big, healthy dose of “the real world”!
Hi Mrs.Ewing!! I really miss 5th grade and now I miss 6th grade! I can’t believe school is actually out!! I am sad!:-( Your webpage is COOL!!! I wish we could make webpages!!
Hello., We are looking for a nice place to move,
and I came by your town and inso the school.,
My daughter is going into the 5th grade this year.
I showed her the pictures of your Webkinz, and right
away she said “I’m going there”!
She goes to a small Christian school now, and is a good student.
Your class reminds me SO much of hers!
(doing the same kind of things and the kids even look like her friends!)
I’d like to know more about Rogersville (from a

The plan is to sell DryBath to charities at extremely low prices, and those charities will subsequently provide it to destitute individuals for free.
