I would travel back to the late Cretaceous period, specifically 70 million years ago, in what is now North America. My primary destination is to witness the age of the dinosaurs in their full, awe-inspiring glory, ensuring I arrive in a remote, uninhabited location to minimize any temporal disturbances. I have always been fascinated by these magnificent creatures, and observing a living Tyrannosaurus rex would be a dream come true. The raw, untamed beauty of a world ruled by giants would be an unparalleled spectacle, offering insights that no fossil record or CGI recreation could ever provide. My time machine is equipped with advanced stealth and environmental shields to prevent any interaction or contamination, allowing me to be a silent observer in a world long past.
Upon arrival, the first thing that happens is a wave of intense heat and humidity hits my time machine’s external sensors. I look through the reinforced viewing port and see a lush, dense forest of towering ferns and exotic, ancient trees I cannot name. The air outside is thick with the calls of unseen creatures, a cacophony of roars, chirps, and bellows that are both terrifying and magnificent. Then, a massive shadow falls over my craft, and I witness a herd of Triceratops slowly lumbering through a clearing, their massive frills and horns a display of natural armor. As I continue my observation, I am careful to remain hidden, documenting everything with high-resolution cameras, gathering invaluable data on their behavior and ecosystem before the time-jump mechanism automatically returns me home at the pre-set safety time
